Paul Lyon

Ceramic Artist, Paul Lyon was born in Pasadena, California in 1962. He moved to the East Coast with his parents when he was only 2 years old and has resided in Harford County, Maryland ever since. In 1982 Paul attended the Advanced Language Institute in Munich, Germany and went on to apprentice with Ceramic Artist, Marianne Neumann in Salzburg, Austria. Upon return to the states Paul attended The New York State College of Ceramic Art at Alfred University and graduated with honors in 1986 where he also met his wife Tracy.
After Paul Lyon graduated from Alfred University he returned home and renovated the family barn into a ceramics studio. Paul and Tracy worked together and have held annual Open Studios, exhibited at numerous Museums, Galleries, and Art Shows from New York to South Carolina, Texas, and Europe for over 25 years. Paul has also exhibited yearly at The Chesapeake Gallery, and Harford Community College since he started teaching there as adjunct faculty in 1989-2018.
Paul and his wife now have two daughters. He no longer teaches ceramics at Harford Community College nor does art shows but, thanks to social media sells all his work online.
